About the Author

Dr. Marlin Griffith is a clinical and forensic psychologist practicing in Oakland, California. Following his Air Force tour of eight years, Captain Griffith entered graduate school in Experimental Psychology at San Francisco State University, later transferring to the University of Colorado where he received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1975.

Dr. Griffith’s clinical career includes psychiatric inpatient treatment at Alameda County Highland General Hospital, Community Mental Health Administration at Westside CHMC in San Francisco, Substance Abuse Treatment at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, and employee assistance program administration at New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc.

He currently resides in Oakland with his wife, Melanie.
